About Me

 

Hello everyone. My name is Mr. Rao and right above here is a picture of me. I'll explain the picture in a bit, but the first thing you should know about me is that I love everything about education. Some may say teaching is a job, but to me it is a hobby. I enjoy teaching students how to code and sharing with teachers how they can integrate technology into their classroom. 

 

The picture above is when I was at the Schoology NEXT conference in San Diego, California. In 2017, I was awarded Schoology's Ambassador of the year honor. This year I was asked to deliver a keynote presentation based on my Digital Citizenship unit that my students completed using Schoology, Pear Deck, Common Sense Digital Passport, and Breakout EDU. It was amazing to speak in from of almost 800 attendees. I wanted to bring a piece of Ramtown with me to help give me an extra boost of confidence. The picture is a selfie I took with Flat Ronnie in the middle of my presentation.

 

Outside of school, I am very close with my family. My wife and I enjoy going out to dinner and taking trips to Disney. Who doesn't love Disney?! I have developed a few apps for iOS devices and currently, I am enjoying my hobby of woodworking! I am a huge fan of the New York Yankees and baseball in general. I have a vast knowledge of baseball history.
