Welcome!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year.  My name is Jayme Begley and I am looking forward to a wonderful year as your child’s School Counselor. The role of a School Counselor is a rewarding one and I look forward to assisting your child to grow academically, socially and emotionally.

The elementary years are a time when students begin to develop their academic self-concept, as well as their feelings of confidence and competence as learners. They are beginning to develop decision-making, communication, life skills, and character values. It is also a time when students develop and acquire attitudes toward school, self, peers, social groups, and families. It is essential that we work together to ensure a successful school year for your child(ren).

This school year might evoke a lot of different emotions and there could be added stress and anxiety given the current pandemic. Please know that although this school year will look different, whether your child is joining us virtually or in-person our mission remains the same. Supporting our students and families not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well. As a team, we will face whatever challenge comes our way.

It is going to be an amazing year!  If you have any specific questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Warm Regards,
Mrs. Begley
