About the Art Teacher

Mrs. Siccone is an accomplished art teacher, artist, and designer, who began her teaching career in the '90's in the Jersey City Public Schools. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Montclair State University, and her Master’s Degree, with Distinction, from Kean University, where she also earned her Supervisory Certificate in Art Supervision & Administration.

As a teacher, Mrs. Siccone inspires students to discover their passion in art through varied art experiences. With her strengths in painting and drawing, she has decorated the walls of Greenville and Ramtown Schools with murals, including the Ramtown School stars honoring the veterans in our community. Drawn to the reinvention of mundane objects, Mrs. Siccone has involved students in unique design projects. Displayed in the art room at Ramtown School, you will find masterpieces painted on old chairs, art painted on house windows, colorful birdhouses, and even a bicycle wheel sculpture! As a designer, she pushes the boundaries of reinvention through the creation of unconventional jewelry and accessories designed from metal zippers, featured online and in local galleries/markets.

Mrs. Siccone is a native of the mile-square city of Hoboken, NJ. As a first generation Italian-American, she is a native speaker of the Italian language, as well as the dialect of her family’s hometown in Puglia, Italy. Passionate about art and travel, she teaches from a global perspective with firsthand experiences from her trips to Japan, Italy, France, and other countries. She lives at the Jersey shore with her husband, Anthony, her daughter, Sophia, and a rescued black lab mix named Kona.
