Building Reminders

  • There are times when parents may not have their child ride the bus to school in the morning.  To assist parents with dropping off students in the morning, prior to school, a designated area in the rear parking lot of the school was created.  Designated teachers will accept students at the ‘student drop-off area’ from 7:55 a.m. – 8:05 a.m. each morning.  Parents dropping students off at school later than 8:05 a.m. must sign their child into the school’s main office, at the front of the building.  Again, photo identification will be required for school entry.

  • It is imperative that all visitors are familiar with the district’s ‘school entry protocols’.  As a reminder, all visitors are to have a confirmed appointment with the school prior to arrival and photo identification available for display prior to being provided with school entry by the main office.

  • Parents are to call the school’s telephone number (732) 751-2493 and press “3” to report their child’s absence prior to or at the onset of the school day.

  • Should parents wish to sign their child out of school prior to dismissal, it is important that the main office is directly notified preferably through written correspondence rather than emails or phone calls made directly to the student’s teacher.   In doing so, it will assist the main office in preparing for the student’s departure in a more timely fashion.

  • All emergency contact information is to remain current and up-to-date.  Should any information such as telephone numbers or email address change, it is important that it is not only updated in the parent portal, but the main office is notified as well.  Additionally, parents are to retain their username and passwords for the parent portal for the retrieval of their child’s report card information as well as to receive important/emergency notifications.

  • For safety and comfort purposes, it is important that students wear proper attire for school relative to weather/outside temperatures and recess/physical education class.

  • Parents are encouraged to contact their child’s teacher with any questions or concerns prior to contacting administration as to more readily assist parents with any pertinent issues within the classroom setting.
